Dale is here!

Dale is here for this one, to help me post! Ok, so...whats new whats new...? We moved in to our new apartment, and were promptly welcomed by the friendly neighborhood with a nice old fashioned robbery. We feel so at home and welcomed :) (note the sarcasm). Among the missing items are a digital camera, (full of priceless pictures of scenic germany and austria from Dale's mission), two laptops, (including mine containing every other picture in the world that was important to me, a $150 microsoft program, and my scholastic efforts of an entire year), my shotgun, and Dale's black powder revolver, plus an assortment of other odds and treasured ends. Dale says, we kept the ruger, and it just might come in handy for the next intrustion. It could have been worse though, and it was lucky we weren't home, or someone very likely might have gotten hurt. Dale got his deer, a little two point buck. (He wasn't too picky, and he has been, so far, delicious!) The haunted house season has finally come to an end, which means Dale is once again hitting the pavement. He has a great prospect lined up for today, so everyone keep their fingers crossed! :) Work is great for me, I love my job and I work with a really great bunch of people. Its like one big family at A.A. Callisters! :) Maya is getting cuter with every passing day, and she's getting more spots! Apparently that's the Dalmation in her on its way out. Other than that, life is great, life is good, and we are looking forward to seeing all of you during this up-coming holiday season. Until then, aufweidersehen! (that's german for, until we see eachother agian, in case you were wondering)

Time is a fickle friend

I swear to anyone that has either a vestige of faith that i will update, or a raging case of the gullibles, that i have only had time to read blogs, not update my one. I swear it on my dogs head. Which brings me to my first update, Dale and I got a dog. She is an American Bull Terrier, which is a less intimidating way of saying Pit Bull mixed with a Dalmation. We decieded she's a new designer breed, a Bullmation. Her new is Maya. Doesn't she look like Petey from Little Rascals?Well, that or she looks like she's got a blackeye. We adopted her from the Humane Society which I recommend to anyone thinking of getting an animal. It supports a great cause.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Frandsen family for their loss. Vittoria was a wonderful little soul and I count myself privelaged to be one of the few that got to meet her in this life, however short it was for her.

Dad is recovering nicely. He got the staples out a few days ago but, as we all expected, being bed ridden, he is going crazy, and i'm sure, dragging mom along with him. His brood of animals is growing too. With nine horses, three dogs, and four rabbits, bringing his total up to sixteen, unless i'm missing any. A special thanks goes out to Jason Branson for helping in that department while dad can't, well isn't suppose to be doing that himself (mom keeps catching him hobbling around the back yard in his cane).

Dale and I have a pretty boring routine life nowadays, welcome to the grind! We both work full time jobs and I literally cannot keep up with everything that piles up while i'm nine to fiving it. I have so much backstock cleaning and laundry by thursday, my one day off, that that is pretty much all I do. And now its even crazier with Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous coming up, we have got alot of prep to do! I'll try to blog at least once a week from now on, but what can I say, don't expect too much.

Not Having Internet Means No Posts

I know have more sympathy for why my mother never updates her blog. Living without internet and not having access without going to school, I never get a chance to update my blog! Then again mom could do it at work... Anyway I just thought I'd give an update. Dale graduated and we spent a couple free weeks of summer, went to Mountain Man Rendezvous, and bummed around. Then it was off to Salt Lake to find jobs. Dale is still hunting and finding the perfect job. We need him to be picky and find a job he can do that pays well, has benefits, and one that he can do and still take classes. I however, can be less picky and have now completed my first week at A.A. Callisters, a western outfitters store. It's kinda like Corral West and IFA rolled into one. Its been fun and I'm really excited. It will be nice to have an income again too. I did finally remember to bring my camera to a few of these events so I do have a few picture. ENJOY!

EASTER BIRTHDAY FUN...Poor Sad Picturless Blog

So this Easter weekend was a ball! First my birthday was crazy. I had a math test bright and early thursday morning, and then it was back to Castle Dale asap so I could finishing camping preperations and help Dad with the ferrier and getting the horses shod. Then it was over to uncle Gary's where we vaccinated cows and moved them off his place. After that I had a great birthday lunch at Big Mama's where we ran into Grandma and Grandpa Peacock. Then we had to make it out to Fremont Junction in time to meet Dale's family so we could all head out to Circle Rocks for three funfilled camping days. The weather didn't always cooperate but we had tons of fun. We shot hand thrown trap, caught "Bizzards" (lizards) for Aden, rode horses, roasted peeps, and when the weather got bad, fled to the trailer for a game or two of "Hit the Deck!" Aden also got to hunt Easter Eggs in the rocks. We had tons of good food too. Even Laura and Eric made it out for part of the day on sunday. I even got to see Luke, Mary, and Tianna. And we had a super special dinner where every single one of the family members was there. Thats right- ALL of them, together, under the same roof, eating the same meal. It was a MIRACLE. The whole weekend was a blast, and for all that, did I remember to bring my camera-of course not. I suck at the picture taking thing. My poor blog is so sad and pictureless. But on the bright side, at least I'm still blogging, and trying to stay updated. :)

I got dumped!!!

No, I am not having marital troubles. Trusty old bruiser, reliable, sweet, gentle bruiser, dumped me on my behind on monday! Well actually it was my hip, and man does it hurt. We've apparently been giving them way too much grain because Rusty was being just as squirrely with Dad. Bruiser took off into the pasture when I untied him after saddling him up and was picking a fight with poor little Apache so I had to catch his butt. And then, when I got on, he took of running, which doesn't really bother me except that when he got to the downhill slope he started bucking like a crazy bronco. I still hadn't readjusted my stirrups from when my friend (who is like six feet tall) used my saddle so they were way too long, and I was a gonner. Needless to say, those stirrups aren't moving again! And Bruiser will be getting a REALLY good workout... once the feeling returns to my entire right side. :) Dale has been helping the theater out with their production of EndGame so he has been really busy, but we're both excited for this weekend! For those of you who are coming-we can't wait! For those of you who aren't, your still invited and we beg you to reconsider, it will be so fun! Just kidding, we understand, but wish you could be there.

Oops- Busy Busy Busy

Well, Its been awhile but march has been crazy and I have too! I keep forgetting my camera, but its good to know I'm not the only one- of course they didn't forget theirs for the entire month! Okay, so I have no pictures, I'll just recap. The first weekend of March, the one including the 1st, Dale, Dad and I went on another trail ride to Short's Canyon :) and looked at the petroglyphs (A.K.A indian writings). It was way fun. Then on the weekend of the seventh Dale and I made our way up to Manti to witness two of my best friends in the world get their endowment- Dee and her husband Ammon. It was wonderful, and I can't wait to be there to see them sealed together with their adorable son Tyler this next month! Then, the next week was spring break so Dale and I headed to Logan to see Mary in Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat. And she did great!!! I had the songs stuck in my head for a week :D We had so much fun. Between two two year olds, the play, the good food, the shopping trips, the peppridge farm cookies :) and the trip to the temple, there was never a dull moment. Then it was down to Salt Lake for the rest of the spring break where we had tons of fun! Dale is getting really gungho about doing falconry again so the whole trip was pretty much spent aquiring the neccesary materials and ALOT of leather sewing (seriously, I have a blister). But we went and saw Bride Wars at the dollar theatre and ate at the Macaroni Grill-YUM! And we even did a little shopping. Oh, by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (One of the things we shopped for was her present.) And that's about it for now, I promise to be more diligent in my picture taking in the future :)

Back on the Trail Again - Finally!!!

It's that time of year again! That blessed time of year. The time of year when the Peacock's, Flink's and Bingham's hit the trail! The weather's just right and the bugs haven't come out yet, and its the perfect time of year to go out on the desert! Dale, Dad and I went on the first trail ride of the year on saturday. We went out to Little Goblin Valley to show Dale one of San Rafael's sites that he hadn't yet had the privelage of seeing. It was as beautiful as ever, though we didn't end up going the usual route. We got turned around and ended up on the North side of the valley with the bird's eye view. It was okay though, it's still beautiful, no matter what angle you see it at.
At one point, we were on that ridge that's to the left of the valley in the background if you can see it.

Dad even road Crazy here (Can you tell she's an expecting mommy?), and she did really really well... on the ride. It was a different story however when we got back to the trailer. She decieded that she wasn't getting in the trailer for love or money, and after an hour's worth of failed attempts and rearing fits, she pulled back hard enough to break the two inch thick lead rope. This of course was after she broke both of the tail lights on the trailor. She then proceeded to take of across the wide open desert like a bat out of hell. I had to chase her sorry butt down on Durango-twice! Dad literally had to lift her two front feet into the trailer before we could get her in. And then, she kicked him twice in the legs while we were trying to make her make room to load Durango in behind her. Needless to say, we're bringing the mule halter next time we take her anywhere. We all had tons of fun though! I'd have to say for me, the funnest part was chasing Crazy across the desert on trusty ole Durango :)

Picture Tag

Well... I've never done a tag before, but this seemed so appropriate. Everyone else seems to have a picture of their child, and since I don't have an actual child, the 6th picture in my 6th folder was of MY baby.

Peacocks, Flinks, and Binghams are Home on the Range!

Monday afternoon, we decided to get off our kesters and go shoot some guns!
We are armed and dangerous!

Mom and Dad did some shooting too, and Mom even pulled our her pistol :)

And we shot the shotguns and clay pigeons, and when they turned out to be too brittle, we shot a couple pillows that someone had left at the range :) They exloded, and it turned out to be really fun!
You can see the clay pigeons down range, they made great targets for the handguns, which i'm pretty sure every shot.

Here is a shot of everyone... except me of course... I'm behind the camera :)

Valentines Day/ President's Day Weekend

Sorry it took so long to blog about this last weekend, but I have been sick these past few days with that really bad stomach flu that's going around. So, this weekend started with a trip to Salt Lake for Valentine's Day where we got to see Angela's play Tartuffe. Sadly, I forgot my camera so we didn't get any picture with her at the show, but she did great! Then, we had a Valentine's Day dinner, cooked by the men (mostly Dave I think) of Steak and Lobster with Artichokes and sauteed mushrooms. It was DELICIOUS! We also got to hang out with the grandbabies. I didn't get a picture of Taylor and Cole, but they were there too, as cute as ever. Kayla and Elijah... I'm still not sure I'm spelling that right... anyway... Kayla and Elijah both showed off their dancing skills and I discovered that Elijah is quite the little ham. Taylor and Cole shared playing rights with their new puppy Jasper, a minature pincher who is so cute! :) Dale and I kept poor Chris and Ashley up til the wee hours of the night chatting.
Then it was back to Castle Dale so we could catch a chance to visit with Luke, Mary and Tianna while they were in town. Luke, Mary, Chris, Monica, Dale and I all stayed up late playing board and card games. Even Aden stayed up way past his bed time, and was sooo tired!

Tianna and Aden are always so cute together, but Aden was so sad to see Tianna go that he cried and cried! It was so sad:( Tianna wasn't the only one armed and dangerous this weekend. You think she has that evil grin on her face because she knows she isn't suppose to be pointing the gun at me? I got a cute video of her twirling the gun like she was in a western, but I accidently deleted it :(

Grandpa, Grandma and everyone else was so excited to have the babies together, he read them a story right before they had to leave. They love the monkey stories, and they especially love being read the monkey stories by Grandma and Grandpa.

Here are the other pictures I have of Aden's Hair :)

Here Monica, I have more pictures if you want them :)

Happy Birthday Laura!!!

Happy Birthday Laura, we love you so much and miss you tons!!! I plan on adding some pictures to your birthday blog if I'm ever home before in the daylight to take them :)

We went to Grogg's before the show and got to hang out with the grandbabies, who weren't allowed in the show. We all had tons of fun and the food was delicious! I wish a had a picture and Elijah and Kayla playing with the oyster shells- it was so cute!

This last week, Dale was in A Man for All Seasons. He was the Common Man, and he did AWESOME!!! It doesn't sound like it, but its actually a main part, and he rocked it! He was by far my favorite character, not that I'm biased or anything. :) There is also a picture of the wonderful set that Dale was instrumental in the building, painting, and all around constructing of. The picture wasn't very good, but trust me, it was awesome!
